In brief...

Dr. Brahma Ved Sharma is an Associate Professor & H.O.D. in the Deptt. of Hindi, who has been teaching at this college since 1995. Before joining this college, he taught post graduate classes at D.A.V. College Abohar and Deptt of Hindi, Panjab University Chandigarh for two years each. He has authored four books with ISBN/ISSN number and has published 12 research papers in reputed journals of Hindi. His area of specialization in research is Research Methodological Evaluation. Five students has successfully completed their M.Phil degree under his guidance and three students are pursuing Ph.D under his supervision. He has presented many research papers in state, national, international seminars and Conferences held in the subject of Hindi. He chaired technical sessions in capacity of chief speaker, Resource person and subject specialist in various national/state level seminars. He organized a state level seminar on the topic "BhoomandaliKaran Ka Sahitya par Prabhav" in the year 2013 as convener which was sponsored by College development Council, P.U.Chd. He also delivered expert lectures named "Research Methodology in Languages" under faculty development programme held at GTBKIET, Chappianwali on 8/01/2012 & 12/01/2012. Presently he has been working on Major Research Project awarded by U.G.C on comparative Literature. Apart from that he has been actively engaged in the different functional bodies of D.A.V College Malout, viz Staff secretary (4 terms). Staff representative on local committee of College for 2 terms of 3 years, Dean EMA, Incharge-Dharam Shiksha, Incharge Arya Yuva Samaj, Programme officer NSS for seven years, NCC care taker officer for one year, Editor Hindi Section of College Magazine "Arpita", convener, Admission campaign committee & member of several committees, viz discipline, admission etc. He has been given the honour of conducting stage for different activities of College & various social organization from time to time. Local administration has engaged him to conduct the stage for Independence Day & Republic Day celebrations since 2008. He has been frequently invited for judgement of debate, elocution, poem recitation & literary items by MIMIT, D.A.V. College Aboahr, GTBKIET chappianwali for their function & youth festivals. He has also acted as judge for PSEB's District, Regional & state level competitions for the same. He has been honourably invited as subject expert, paper setter, centre supt. for P.U. Examinations. He has been honoured several times by social, cultural & Literary organizations for his commendable contribution to the Society.
