Dr. Rajesh Kumar is an accomplished academician, researcher and educational administrator with over 22 years of experience in higher education. He holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry and has qualified the CSIR-UGC NET (JRF & LS). Dr. Kumar has established himself as an internationally recognized researcher in nanomaterials, environmental remediation, photocatalysis, gas sensors, biosensors, and advanced functional materials. His research excellence is reflected in more than 85 SCI-indexed publications in leading international journals published by Elsevier, Wiley, Springer Nature, ACS, and the Royal Society of Chemistry. He has also authored several book chapters and review articles. Notably, he has been ranked among Stanford University's World's Top 2% Scientists for five consecutive years (2021–2025). An active contributor to the academic community, Dr. Kumar has served on the Board of Postgraduate Studies at Panjab University, Chandigarh, reviewed manuscripts for numerous high-impact international journals, and organized several national conferences and workshops. He has also held key administrative positions, including Dean Student Welfare, College Bursar, and Convener of various institutional committees.
