Narinder Sharma is an Associate Professor and H.O.D in the Dept. of English, who has been teaching at this college since 1990. Before joining this college, he had a two year stint of working at D.A.V, College, Abohar and a one year at D.A.V, College, Jalandhar. He worked as guest faculty in the subject of Communication Skills at G.T.B Engineering College, Chhapianwali and Malout Institute of Management and Information Technology (MIMIT). He has been very frequently invited by these colleges for judgement of Debate, Elocution and Literary items for their functions and also for the Punjab Technical University Youth Festivals. He has also been acting as external examiner for the Viva- Voce exams of these colleges. Mr. Sharma also got the opportunity to act as resource person to deliver five lectures at MIMIT and one at G.T.B Engineering College, Chhapianwali pertaining to scenario of Higher Education, Communication Skills, Personality Development etc. Apart from that, he has been actively engaged in the different functional bodies of D.A.V, College, Malout, viz, Staff Secretary (10 Years at a stretch presently and for 4 years before), Staff Representative on Local Committee of college for two terms of 3 years, member standing Advisory Committee, Programme Officer NSS (Boys) for six years, in charge Debate and Quiz for the last 20 Years, editor English Section and presently Chief Editor of the college magazine ‘Arpita’, editor ‘The Campus News’, in charge Admission Campaign Committee and in charge of Prospectus Publication for more than 15 Years till two years before and member of several committees, viz discipline, admission etc. From 3/6/2008 to 23/07/2012 he made a unique contribution of doing all the official correspondence of the college during the tenure of officiating Principal Prof. B.S Bhullar. He got the opportunity to participate in one International Seminar and several National Level Seminars. As H.O.D of the department, he organized an Extension Lecture for the students by inviting Prof. and Head of the English Dept. Panjabi University, Patiala. Besides that, he has been organizing other activities for the involvement of students. Last but not the least, Mr. Sharma is pursuing his Ph.D and has already qualified the pass course for the same.
